The Intellectual and Artistic System of Younis Matin's Poetry

Abstract

Younis Mateen has been fond of poetry since his childhood. His main identity is that of a poet, but he has proved his mettle by experimenting in various genres. In addition, more than a dozen of his books have been published and more than two dozen books are still in print. He has also created a poetic travelogue which is his own example. He is a poet with a style. His poetic style is characterized by simplicity, smoothness, fluency, expressing power and eloquence. His poems are aesthetic and thought-provoking. The main purpose of his poetry is to acquaint the reader with new pleasures. His lyric poems have unique moods and unique spirituality. He has adhered to the tradition in his poetry and has also devised a new style due to which his poetry can be considered as a combination of tradition and innovation.
